It's only the second song to emerge from the duo's ongoing studio sessions since they returned from a self-imposed break in May
Disclosure have shared another new track in the form of ‘Moonlight’ – listen to the song below.
The duo – brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence – returned from their self-imposed break from music back in May to release their comeback single ‘Ultimatum’. The pair are currently working on the follow-up to their second album ‘Caracal’, which came out in 2015.
Disclosure have now released ‘Moonlight’, with the duo said to have taken the decision to share the song as a response to “the overwhelming reception” which greeted ‘Ultimatum’ earlier this year. You can listen to the track below.
“’Moonlight’ was written and arranged at Guy’s house, sampling Swedish acapella group ‘The Real Group’s’ cover of the classic ‘When I Fall In Love’,” the duo explained in a statement. “We wanted to bring some Disclosure deep house chords and basslines to the forefront…”
A press release for ‘Moonlight’ confirmed, however, that there is still no new album announcement in the pipeline, nor are the duo planning on playing any live shows for the foreseeable future.
The Lawrence brothers announced earlier this year that they wouldn’t be staging their Wild Life festival in 2018 – which they had held every year since 2015 – as they intended to focus on writing and recording their forthcoming third studio album.
