UK rapper says Jay-Z may not have 'crossover element'
Dizzee Rascal has voiced his doubts about whether Jay-Z‘s forthcoming headline slot at Glastonbury is suitable for the festival.
The London rapper compared Jay-Z to hip-hop acts such as Eminem and Kanye West, saying that the New York rapper didn’t have the same crossover appeal as them.
“I don’t know if Jay-Z has got that crossover element,” he told BBC Newsbeat. “Kanye West or Eminem, they’ve both got that. Jay-Z is a bit of a funny one.”
Dizzee Rascal did, however, go on to say that he was personally looking forward to Jay-Z‘s set on June 28.
“It’s amazing to me man,” he said. “As a fan that’s just like, wow. I never saw that coming and I could never picture Jay-Z at Glastonbury but it’s all good.”
