Japan’s DJ KRUSH has revealed that he has been working with jazz legend HERBIE HANCOCK and disco diva


Speaking to NME.COM, Krush, dubbed the “Godfather of abstract hiphop”, said: “Herbie Hancock is coming out with a new album, and so I did a remix of the first single coming out featuring Chaka Khan.”

Krush, meanwhile, releases his new album ‘Zen’ today through Columbia. The record, the follow-up to last year’s mix album ‘Code4109’ features collaborations with N’Dea Davenport, ?uestlove from The Roots and Rawkus artist Company Flow, amongst others.

Krush has just kicked off a European tour which reached the UK on June 19 and after dates in Brighton, Manchester, Newcastle and a return to mainland Europe rounds up at the Essential Festival on London’s Hackney Marshes on July 14.
