Django Django unveil ‘Hand Of Man’ video – watch

They will be headlining the NME Awards Tour next month

Django Django have premiered the video for their track, ‘Hand Of Man’.

Scroll down to watch the promo for the song from their self-titled debut album, which was released last year.

The ‘Hand Of Man’ video was directed by BAFTA Award winning John Maclean – formerly of The Beta Band – who is the brother of the band’s drummer, Dave. Of the black and white video, which sees the band performing in the midst of a house party, John said:

“Filmed on black and white super-8 stock. The end of great things. The party was the last day in our friend’s building which will inevitably be knocked down to make way for more dodgy flats with tiny triangle balconies – art, film and music studios destroyed to make way for fast-buck housing developers pricing the working classes and the artists out of central London. The end of film developers and Kodak film stock. And the beginning of great things, Django Django, the spirit of youth, integrity finding a way to live forever, and fresh bread.”

Django Django: Hand of Man on

Django Django are set to headline the upcoming NME Awards Tour, which starts at Newcastle O2 Academy on February 7, finishing up at London O2 Academy Brixton on February 23.

They’ll be joined by Miles Kane, Palma Violets and Peace on the annual tour, famous for launching the careers of Florence And The Machine, Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand and more.

“It’s a massive deal for us to be headlining,” says Django Django’s Dave Maclean. “I was looking back at the bands who’ve played it in the past and it seems like everybody has! By February, we’ll have a bunch of new songs written too, so we’re looking to add at least one to the set – and possibly a cover.”
