DMX to sue police for harassment following his arrest

The rapper plans to take police to court over his speeding charge

Rapper DMX has revealed that he plans to sue Arizona police for harassment, following his arrest for speeding on Wednesday (August 24).

DMX, real name Earl Simmons, was arrested in Arizona after being accused of driving at over 100 miles an hour in a 65 mile an hour area. However, Simmons has said that he believes he wasn’t going over 90 miles an hour.

The former Ruff Ryders artist told TMZ that he will now be taking legal action against the local constabulary. He said:

I was going 85 miles per hour… I know for a fact I didn’t go more than 90… I’m used to driving fast, I’m a New Yorker… but I constantly look at the speedometer when I’m driving… I need to make sure I don’t drive too fast.

He continued:

I plan on suing… and I plan on suing for harassment… I’m in discussions with multiple lawyers who are not afraid to go against the system in helping me clear my name because I have been harassed.
