DMX was arrested in Phoenix, AZ on Tuesday after traffic cameras caught the rapper speeding on a city freeway.
The rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested at his home and charged with several driving offenses that were captured on camera on January 21.
Driving a yellow Chevrolet, he was recorded driving 114mph in a 65mph zone, and was charged with criminal speeding, public endangerment, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license, reports the Associated Press.
Simmons posted bond and was released soon after his arrest.
Contracted security officers used mace on the crowd, who objected to the power being cut due to curfew. Subsequent reports in the Indiana Daily Student said the security firm was not sanctioned by Indiana University, or the police department, and the individuals who used mace were not identified.
