He may be retiring from hip-hop, but he's not short of work...

Rapper DMX

is reportedly in negotiations to star in and produce new action-thriller ‘WEREWOLF’.

The movie, described as being in the same vein as the Wesley Snipes-starring ‘Blade’ films, will see Italian director Dario Piana making his US feature debut.

‘Werewolf’ will see DMX play a mysterious bluesman whose mission is to rid Earth of werewolves – the last of whom live in the Hollywood Hills.

The pic is set to go into production in Montreal in late 2003, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

As previously reported on NME.COM, DMX plans to retire from hip-hop following the release of his next album ‘It’s Not A Game’, set for release in the summer.
