Rapper/actor bailed after police seize weapons and pit-bulls from his home...

DMX – whose big screen debut Belly opened on UK screens on Friday – has been released on bail after police found weapons at his home in New Jersey.

DMX, real name Earl Simmons, was raided by police on Wednesday last week. He was charged after they allegedly found a Tec-9 hand gun, hollow-point bullets, a bullet-proof vest and 14 caged pit bull terriers.

The raid follows an incident where DMX‘s manager Ray Copeland was shot in the foot the previous weekend. He is also the rapper’s uncle.

DMX was released on $50,000 police bail and his wife Tashera, who was also charged with illegal possession of weapons, was released on $2,500 bail. A court date is still to be set.

DMX is currently working on the follow up to his massive album ‘Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood’.
