Britpop band Dodgy to make live return for charity

Versus Cancer announces 'aftershow' for Manchester gig

Britpop band Dodgy will play their first gig in ten years for Manchester charity Versus Cancer, which is run by former Smtihs bassist Andy Rourke.

The band will play at the city’s The Aftershow venue at a night being staged by Embrace’s Danny McNamara.

The gig will take place on February 23 after Versus Cancer big gig at the MEN Arena.

Boy Kill Boy, Example and The Paddingtons will also play, with more acts and special guests to be announced soon.

“We’re really excited to have The Aftershow on board and are massively grateful to Danny for organising such a huge aftershow party for us,” said Rourke of the night. “It will be a fantastic end to a great day of music, and we’re really pleased that this year we’re able to get the public involved as well as the bands from the concert in celebrating with us.”
