Doves get World Cup welcome at Isle Of Wight Festival

Band play following a singalong warm-up

Doves played the 2010 Isle Of Wight Festival this evening (June 11), following an impromptu World Cup warm-up.

The band took to the event’s Main Stage shortly after a mass singalong to England football anthem ‘Three Lions’, led by The Lightning SeedsIan Broudie.

The Manchester band then played a career-spanning set in front of the crowd, including ‘Pounding’, ‘Jetstream’ and ‘There Goes The Fear’, before ending on instrumental ‘Spaceface’ by their previous incarnation Sub Sub.

Doves played:

‘Push Me On’
‘Kingdom Of Rust’
‘Black And White Town’
‘Caught By The River’
‘There Goes The Fear’
