Doves overcome technical delay to preview new album

After a false start band play sold out show in London

Doves previewed tracks from their forthcoming new album at packed London gig last night (March 19).

Performing in front of a sold-out crowd at the HMV Forum, the band were forced to start their show twice.

Initially the band had taken to the stage but left without playing a note due to a technical problem.

However, following frantic work by the band’s roadies, Doves returned 10 minutes later to finally kick off their gig.

The band performed six songs from ‘Kingdom Of Rust’ which is released next month (April 6), including the title track, ‘Winter Hill’ ‘10.03’ and former free download ‘Jetstream’.

The also played a series of crowd favourites including ‘Black And White Town’, ‘Pounding’ and closer ‘There Goes The Fear’, which saw the whole band take to the drums for a carnival style finale.

Doves played:

‘The Greatest Denier’
‘Almost Forgot Myself’
‘Kingdom Of Rust’
‘Black & White Town’
‘The Outsiders’
‘Caught By The River’
