Seattle is treated to a sneak preview of the follow-up to last year's 'Lost Souls' - and a few oldies too...

DOVES unveiled several new songs at SEATTLE SHOWBOX on Sunday night (June 10), the opening night of their North American tour.

The band, who are sharing billing with the Webb Brothers, have been in the studio recording the follow up to ‘Lost Souls’, and took the opportunity to air new songs including a short instrumental number

‘Darker’ a booming almost Spector-ish tune called ‘Satellite’ and ‘Hit The Ground’, a snarling almost post-Stooges number with a rollicking piano line and drummer Andy Williams on vocals. Doves also played ‘New York’, an unreleased song they debuted at shows earlier this year.

The full set list was:

‘Sea Song’

‘Catch the Sun’

‘The Man Who Told Everything’

‘Lost Souls’

‘A House’

‘The Cedar Room’

‘New York’

‘Here it Comes’

‘Hit the Ground’

The tour continues until July 6.
