DR DRE and BEYONCE KNOWLES from DESTINY’S CHILD have bagged the most nominations for this year’s prestigious GRAMMY awards in the US, being listed in five categories each.

Dre’s nominations include Producer of the Year, while Beyonce’s include two for the song ‘Say My Name’.

Eminem has been nominated in four categories, including Best Album for ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’, which is up against Radiohead’s ‘Kid A’, Beck’s ‘Midnite Vultures’, Steely Dan’s ‘Two Against Nature’ and Paul Simon’s ‘You’re The One’.

Meanwhile Radiohead and Travis producer Nigel Godrich is nominated in three categories, as are Foo Fighters, Faith Hill, N Sync, BB King, U2 and Madonna.

In the Best Newcomer category, Papa Roach are pitted against Shelby Lynne, Sisqo, Jill Scott and rising country star Brad Paisley.

The nominations were announced at a press conference at the Beverley Hilton Hotel in Beverley Hills this afternoon (January 3), with guests revealing the nominees including Sheryl Crow, Destiny’s Child, Toni Braxton, Sisqo, JC from N Sync and Nelly.

The 43rd Awards take place on February 21 at the Staples Centre, Los Angeles and will be broadcast on CBS in the US.
