The Philadelphia responds to Drake’s ‘Back to Back’ disses
Meek Mill has released a surprise EP that reignites his on-going feud with Drake.
‘4/4’ features a number of references to the Canadian rapper, including a response to his diss track ‘Back to Back’.
On a track titled ‘I’m Da Plug Freestyle’, Mill borrows the hook of Drake and Future’s ‘Jumpman’, which appeared on their joint mixtape ‘What a Time to Be Alive’, to repeat his claim that Drake has used ghostwriters in the past.
“Jumpman, Jumpman, Jumpman / Ain’t nobody tell ’em this ain’t what they want, man / You ain’t really write it, I’m like, ‘Who’s your stuntman?'” Mill raps.
The Philadelphia MC also directly responds to a line on Drake’s ‘Back to Back’ that asked “Is that your world tour or your girl’s tour?”, a jab at opening up for his girlfriend Nicki Minaj.
Mills hits back with: “Was that my girl’s tour or the world tour? / I do not know what you p***y n****s goin’ for / This that 100K a night when you perform tour / Swimmin’ in that good p***y while you’re on tour.”
Mill’s latest salvo in the pair’s war of words comes after a five months ceasefire. In July, Mill released ‘Wanna Know’ in response to ‘Back to Back’, the second of Drake’s two diss tracks aimed at the rapper.
‘Back to Back’ has since been nominated for a Grammy award for Best Rap Performance.
