Drake spoofs Kanye, Miley Cyrus and President Obama in ‘Energy’ video – watch

Rapper morphs into various celebrities in light-hearted video

Drake has spoofed a number of high profile names, including Kanye West and Miley Cyrus, in the video for mixtape track ‘Energy’.

The video for ‘Energy’ sees the Toronto rapper morph into something looking like Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball’ video as well as Kanye West’s infamous ‘Bound 2’ video and Justin Bieber’s Calvin Klein adverts. Elsewhere in the promo he poses as both Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey, the latter spoofing her 2005 interview with Tom Cruise when he declared his love for Katie Holmes.

Apple Music premiered the video and Drake appeared on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show this afternoon (July 10) to promote it. While speaking to Lowe he discussed his recent time spent in London, including studio sessions with Skepta and catching the tennis at Wimbledon (“I was there to support Serena.”)

Drake also premiered new song ‘My Love’, a collaboration with Majid Jordan who he last worked with on hit single ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’. That song is available on iTunes now.

During his Wireless headline performance last week (July 3), Drake brought out London grime MC Skepta to perform ‘Shutdown’ during a hit-laden set.

Meanwhile, Will Smith has claimed that he’s working on new music with Drake.

The hip-hop star turned actor revealed the news on his son Jaden’s new Beats 1 radio show, the new 24/7 radio station running on Apple Music. During Jaden’s first episode, the younger Smith spoke to his dad about upcoming plans, which includes getting back into music.
