In April, Drake lost a £4,000 bet to The Game over a basketball match. The Toronto-born star bet The Game that the Kentucky Wildcats would beat the Wisconsin Badgers on April 5. The Badgers won the match 71-64.
“Bet my bro @ChampagnePapi a humble $6,000 on the Wisconsin x Kentucky game”, The Game wrote on Instagram, before Drake responded by posting a picture of the cash and saying: “Congrats to the Badgers on a hard fought game and congrats to @losangelesconfidential for taking some money off my hands. Not many ppl can”.
Drake later sent The Game the money in an OVO-branded envelope, a nod to Drake’s own record label.
Mark Ronson also recently revealed that Drake turned him down for a collaboration on his latest album, ‘Uptown Special’.
Speaking on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man TV show on June 12, the musician and producer confirmed the news. Answering a question about working in high profile collaborations, Ronson said: “A few people have said no. I am not going to say names… Drake. He was very polite about it.”
