Drake collaborating with Beyoncé for new album

The rapper says he wants to shock listeners with next record and compares it to Kanye's '808s & Heartbreak'

It’s been revealed that Drake has teamed up with Beyonce for a track on his next album.

The Toronto rapper recently dropped his ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ mixtape, but has already named its follow-up to be called ‘Views From The 6’.

Now, Four Pins have published a feature ahead of Drake’s headline performance at the second weekend of Coachella festival. In the piece, they claim that Drake “only has two songs finished” for his upcoming fourth album, and that one of the tracks features Beyoncé.

“One is a collaboration with Beyoncé that he recorded a while ago. The other is a song that he expects to inspire a paradigm shift,” the article states.

Drake’s aim for his new LP is to shock listeners, it is also revealed. It has also been compared to Kanye West‘s synth-laden fourth album ‘808s & Heartbreak’.

“His days of releasing lay-up bangers that everyone loves right away are over. For now,” the piece continues. “‘Views From The 6’ needs to shock listeners just as much as it needs to impress them. I compare it to what Kanye did on his own fourth album, ‘808s & Heartbreak’. Drake agrees… It appears that Drake is ready to deviate from his winning formula and get a little weird.”

Meanwhile, Drake has explained his reaction to kissing Madonna at the first weekend of Coachella, telling fans not to “misinterpret my shock” and adding that he would “feel 100% about that forever”.

The pair kissed onstage at the closing day of the Californian festival last Sunday (April 12). The incident made headlines when Drake appeared to grimace following the kiss.

Now, the rapper has addressed the issue once more, saying on social media: “Don’t misinterpret my shock!! I got to make out with the queen Madonna and I feel 100% about that forever. Thank you @madonna”.
