Watch Drake’s new short film ‘Please Forgive Me’

Twenty-one minute film is directed by Drake and one of his regular team

Drake has released his short film Please Forgive Me, which features several songs from his album ‘Views’.

The 21-minute film can be seen here via Apple Music. It’s directed by Drake with film-maker Anthony Mandler, who has previously directed Drake’s videos for ‘Miss Me’, ‘Over’ and ‘Find Your Love’, which all featured on Drake’s album ‘Thank Me Later’.

The film is free to stream on Apple Music, which follows the streaming service premiering ‘Views’ for two weeks in April before it was released elsewhere.

Songs in Please Forgive Me include ‘One Dance’ and ‘Controlla’, whose guest Popcaan co-stars in the film. It also features a movie score by Drake’s regular producer Noah “40” Shebib.

The film is a love story in which Drake seeks redemption after cheating on his partner. It was first announced in August with a series of billboards in Los Angeles, before Drake posted an Instagram image last night (September 29) with a still from the movie captioned “Tonight”.

In other news, Drake revealed at a gig in Washington earlier this month that he has already finished “six or seven” new songs following ‘Views’. He told the crowd: “I’m just getting warmed up. I don’t know where they’re going to end up or what it’s going to be.”

Drake is also working on a joint album with Kanye West in a similar vein to West’s joint Jay Z album ‘Watch The Throne’ from 2011.
