Drake sued by producer Detail over alleged ‘I will beat all your asses’ assault

Detail claims Drake had his jaw broken by bodyguard

Drake is being sued by his former producer Detail, who claims the rapper had him beaten up after they fell out.

Detail produced Drake’s song ‘305 To My City’ on his album ‘Nothing Was The Same’. He claims that, in 2014, Drake offered Detail a role as his Executive Producer as a result of the song.

Detail refused, saying he didn’t want to work with just one artist. Detail claims that Drake was unhappy with his decision, but in June of that year, he asked Detail to go to Drake’s house to work on new music. When Detail arrived at Drake’s home in Calabasas, California, he claims he was met by Drake’s bodyguard Chubbs, who broke Detail’s jaw and shouted “multiple threats” at the producer.

Detail, real name Noel Fisher, claims Chubbs yelled: “I will beat all your asses, including your bitch’s ass. I don’t give a fuck. I will hit you again. Do you think Drake is soft? You think Drake’s a punk?”

Detail claims Drake ordered the beating, and is seeking restitution damages, though the amount hasn’t been disclosed. Drake has yet to respond to the lawsuit. Detail has also produced for Beyonce, Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa.

The news comes as Drake’s 10-week run at No 1 in the UK looks set to end this weekend, with ‘One Dance’ likely to be replaced by Kungs Vs Cookin’ On 3 Burners’ ‘That Girl’.
