Drake accepts the challenge, taking place during Toronto showcase
Rapper Drake has been challenged to a game of ping-pong by NBA Guard Reggie Miller.
The NBA All-Star Weekend is a weekend event held every February during the middle of the NBA regular season, consisting of a variety of basketball events, exhibitions, and performances culminating in the ‘NBA All-Star Game’ held on Sunday night.
The Toronto hailing rapper is known for being a dab hand at ping pong and Reggie Miller – the ‘NBA All-Star Guard’ challenged the rapper to a game during the weekend festivities – running February 12-14 – on his Twitter page yesterday (February 4)
Working on my NBA All-Star plans and my peeps say @Drake is a master ping pong player, maybe he’s up for a match
Drake then said he would rise to the challenge in a reply:
Miller revealed that he’s “pretty good” at ping pong to US basketball programme Inside The NBA, and requested that Drake not treat him like Meek Mill, an artist the Canadian rapper feuded with months ago.
“Number one, I wouldn’t say I’m great…Table tennis is what the pros plays, so that’s why I’m saying I’m not great,” Reggie Miller said. “But for ping pong, I’m pretty good. We’re playing ping pong with Drake. It’s gonna be Hotline Ping with Drake…There will be no trash talking other than it’s gonna be a pleasure to go to Toronto, his home and play him. I’m good on the road. Drake, I know you can play. I know you can play. So, I’m gonna have my hands full. No trash talking. Don’t treat me like Meek Mill. Do not treat me like Meek Mill.”
‘NBA All Star Weekend’ takes place in Toronto between February 12-14.
