Drake, Justin Bieber and The Weeknd lead nominations for Canada’s Juno Awards

Ceremony takes place on April 3 in Calgary

Drake, Justin Bieber and The Weeknd are among the acts nominated for this year’s Juno Awards.

The Juno Awards, Canada’s biggest music awards ceremony, takes place in 2016 on April 3 in Calgary. It is the 45th year since the awards’ inception.

Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd, has received six nominations, including Artist of the year, Album of the year, Single of the year and Best songwriter.


Drake, meanwhile, has received five nods, while Bieber has the same number of nominations.

The likes of Metric, Tobias Jesso Jr. and Alessia Cara have also been nominated.
