Drake brought out J. Cole as a special surprise guest at his seventh and final show at London’s The O2 last night, where the two promised fans that they were planning on making music together.
The Toronto rapper’s final UK date of his ‘Assassination Vacation’ tour took place last night (April 11), with the tour now set for three more dates in Belgium and The Netherlands before wrapping up for good.
Continuing his recent run of bringing on special guests during his sets, Drake treated fans who attended the last date of his O2 residency by inviting Cole on stage to perform the track ‘Middle Child’. Watch fan-shot footage of the performance below.

After the song, the two rappers exchanged compliments, with Drake saying: “When I think of all my earliest memories when we were doing this shit… this is just for anybody… that has a dream, that has a vision. When I think of all my earliest memories there was always one guy that was always right there doing the same thing as me. Taking care of his people, showing love, and it’s this man right here. He hasn’t changed since the first day I met him.”
"I can't wait to make some new music with you, I know we been working…"

Drake then hinted that he and Cole are planning on going into the studio very soon. “I can’t wait to make some new music with you,” he told Cole and the audience. “I know we been working. I can’t wait to let these people hear it.”
Earlier this week, Drake also promised fans that he and Future – who was brought out on stage during Drake’s run at The O2 – are planning on working together again soon.
