Singer says she's "so sorry" to cancel the performances

Dua Lipa has been forced to cancel a series of shows supporting Bruno Mars in order to undergo immediate dental surgery.

The singer is currently supporting Mars in Australia and New Zealand, but has pulled out of two Brisbane dates set to take place on Wednesday (March 14) and Thursday (March 15).

A statement from promoter Live Nation said that Lipa had “been advised by doctors to undergo immediate dental surgery”.

Lipa later took to Twitter to tell fans that she’s “so sorry” to cancel the performances and explain that she had to have her wisdom teeth removed.

“I’ve been performing with an awful pain due to my wisdom teeth and as advised by my dentist and oral surgeon I have had to have them imminently removed,” she wrote.

“I have been enjoying this tour so much and I’m so upset that life has gotten in the way but hopefully I’ll have a speedy recovery and make it back as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.”

“I wasn’t thinking about their beef,” Lipa told Rolling Stone. “I was thinking about their music, and Taylor is amazing, but I’m such a hip-hop fan that I would probably choose Kanye over anyone.”

“They were sending me snake emojis for, like, three days straight. They’re like, ‘I hope you die.’ I’m like, ‘Yo! I literally didn’t say anything'”, Lipa explained.
