Duffy was forced to flee her £12 London home last night after a fire broke out.
The Welsh singer was at home when the blaze started in her penthouse in Kensington, west London last night (October 3).
According to the Evening Standard, the singer ignored her possessions and instead rescued her two cats and dog. It is not known whether her Grammy award or three Brits were stored in the apartment.
The newspaper reports that over 60 firefighters tackled the fire for more than six hours at the apartment, which has its own pool and cinema.
The singer’s neighbour said: “I went to the kitchen window and I saw a lot of smoke. I told my sister and my son, let’s leave. I saw Duffy running outside. She was running about all over the place. When the police arrived they calmed her.”
It is believed that the singer is back in the recording studio after reports last year that the she was considering quitting music after poor sales of her 2010 second album ‘Endlessly’. Her debut LP ‘Rockferry’ sold over 1.6 million copies.
