Death From Above 1979 and Eagles Of Death Metal to tour together in Canada

Turbowolf will also join the two bands on the nine-date trip

Death From Above 1979 and Eagles Of Death Metal are to head out on a joint tour of Canada this spring.

The shows take place across April and May, when the two bands will visit nine cities in the country. The tour kicks off in Vancouver on April 26 and finishes in Quebec City on May 8.

Writing on Death From Above 1979’s Facebook page, Sebastien Grainger explained how the run of dates came about, saying the two groups’ fates were “inextricably intertwined”.

“It began back in 2005 on tour with Queens Of The Stone Age when EODM founding member, Joshua Homme, mentioned that he had a friend back home with a better mustache than ours (our band doesn’t share ONE mustache, we had one each),” Grainger wrote of first being introduced to EODM frontman Jesse Hughes. “That friend back home was Jesse Hughes. Jesse is what I would consider a real rock-and-roll creature. He was born in a jean jacket.”

The post ends with Grainger concluding: “Eagles Of Death Metal are like peyote; You don’t find them, they find you.” Read the full post below via .
