Johnny Depp visits recording studio with Ed Sheeran and One Direction’s Zayn Malick

Are they working on celeb-heavy collaboration?

Johnny Depp has been spotted visiting a recording studio with Ed Sheeran and One Direction member Zayn Malick.

The actor, who stars as Tonto in the recently released The Lone Ranger, has sparked speculation that he could be working with the pop singers on a musical project after he and Sheeran were spotted arriving at a recording studio in LA earlier this week (August 12).

It subsequently emerged that Malick had also been present at the studio after Alexander DeLeon, a member of US band The Cab, uploaded a picture of himself with the boyband singer and Depp. Writing on Instagram, he said: “Pirate lessons from the one and only. Thanks for having us, Mr Depp.”

Ed Sheeran recently revealed that record companies he spoke to in his early days told him he was unmarketable because of his image. “Every single label I had gone to at the time had told me this song wasn’t a hit this song wouldn’t work and the fact that I was slightly chubby and ginger wasn’t a good ‘marketing tool’ for them,” he said.

It was recently reported, meanwhile, that One Direction’s Harry Styles has been writing songs for the group’s new album with Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody, while Johnny Depp recently hinted that he is not “too far away” from quitting acting.
