Ed Sheeran announces new single ‘Photograph’, says video will be ‘a special one’

Track will be fifth single taken from 'x'

Ed Sheeran has taken to Twitter to announce the next single released from his hugely successful album ‘x’ will be ‘Photograph’.

The singer and guitarist has also teased fans with the promise of a ‘special’ new video, adding that he’s ‘very excited’ about the project.

“My next single from multiply is Photograph. Wait til you see the video, it’s a special one. Very excited,” he wrote.

It’ll be the fifth single taken from ‘x’, and the album’s success has helped Sheeran become the first British artist and just second overall to achieve two billion Spotify streams.

In a statement released earlier this week, Kevin Brown, Spotify’s Head of Label Relations for Europe, said: “Breaking the two billion streams barrier on Spotify is evidence – were it needed – of Ed Sheeran’s enormous popularity among the 60 million music fans on the service.

“Ed Sheeran is quite simply one of the best-loved artists on Spotify globally, and we are thrilled that he has achieved this milestone.”
