Ed Sheeran announces second Wembley Stadium gig

Singer-songwriter will headline London venue on July 10 and 11

Ed Sheeran has announced he will play a second date at London’s Wembley Stadium in July next year.

The singer-songwriter previously announced that he will play the venue on July 10. However, due to popular demand, he will now play a second show on the following day, July 11. Tickets for the new date go on sale this Friday (November 28) at 9am.

Ed Sheeran released his second studio album ‘X’ in June, reaching Number One in the Official UK Album Chart.

The singer recently spoke about perception of his music as being “boring”, after Isle Of Wight Festival organiser John Giddings said that if Sheeran is the future of festival headliners then we are “all screwed”.

Sheeran responded: “Everyone’s entitled to an opinion… a lot of people think I’m boring – I think other people are boring. It’s fine and that’s a normal thing to think.”
