Band also play six songs from new album
Editors continued the iTunes Festival season in London tonight (July 11) by debuting a new song.
The Birmingham band premiered ‘Banging Heads’ for the first time in front of 350 people at the ICA.
Hinting at an imminent release, singer Tom Smith said: “That is going to be out some time in the future.”
The four-piece also played six songs from their second album ‘An End Has A Start’ as well as a host of hit singles from their first album ‘The Back Room’.
Smith said very little throughout the gig until the end when he thanked the crowd and added: “I hope you had the best time of your lives. We will see you soon.”
The biggest cheer came at the end when the band typically launched into ‘Fingers In The Factories’.
‘An End Has A Start’
‘Escape From The Nest’
‘The Racing Rats’
‘The Weight Of The World’
‘Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors’
‘Fingers In The Factories’
The bands’ sets are being recorded and will be released as a live album via iTunes in the future. For more information go to [url=http://www.itunesfestival.com/]iTunesfestival.com.
