Editors launch new competition to give fans the opportunity to be the first to hear their new album

The band's next LP is the subject of the new contest, with competition winners also set to be treated to an acoustic session and Q&A

Editors have launched a new competition that will give six of their fans the chance to hear their new album ‘Violence’ first – check out details of the opportunity below.

The five-piece will release their sixth studio LP on March 9, and have already shared the video for its lead single, ‘Magazine’.

Editors are now giving their UK and European fans the chance to hear ‘Violence’ first through a new contest. The six winners – who can all bring a +1 – of the competition will all spend a day and night at a historic 16th Century farmhouse in Surrey, which is equipped with a heated swimming pool, hot tub and tennis court.

Winners will also be treated to a special acoustic performance from Editors, with the band also sticking around for an exclusive Q&A session after the premiere of ‘Violence’. All winners, plus a further 20 runners up, will also receive a limited test pressing vinyl LP signed by the band.

In order to be in with a chance of winning the prize, fans are being asked to upload a video on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook of themselves “telling the world what Editors means to them and why they love the band” using the hashtag #WELOVEEDITORS.

“The entries will be judged on creativity and passion by a panel of judges, with the band choosing the final winners.”

The competition is open now and will run until 23:59 on January 31 – you can find out more details about the competition and enter here. Winners will be determined on February 28.
