Elle and Bo get the boot, but it’s for charity…
ELBOW are to fell their giant ‘aliens’ ELLE and BO in aid of charity.
The giant figures, which appear on the cover of the band’s second album ‘Cast Of Thousands’, have been a fixture on the UK festival circuit over the last two years, but are now being sold on eBay in aid of the Mines Advisory Group (MAG).
The band will also donate proceeds from their forthcoming single ’Grace Under Pressure’, released on July 12, to the charity.
A friend of the band told NME.COM: “After two summers of ligging their way around the UK festival circuit, making friends at all ports and stopping traffic on the M1, the time has come for Elle and Bo to settle down in a permanent home. They have tired of their Holland Park accommodation and the band feel it is only right to allow them to settle down!”
Elle and Bo are 10 feet tall and rather heavy. The winner of the auction will need to arrange their own transport for the pair.
