Elbow score best-ever albums chart placing but can’t topple Adele

'21' and 'Someone Like You' continue to dominate albums and singles charts

Elbow have scored their best-ever official albums chart placing tonight (March 13) after ‘Build A Rocket Boys!’ went in at Number Two.

The Bury band’s fifth studio album was unable to topple Adele‘s ’21’, which spent a seventh successive week at Number One.

The Tottenham soul singer also spent her fourth week at the summit of the singles chart with ‘Someone Like You’.

Other albums chart new entries included R.E.M at Number Five with ‘Collapse Into Now’ and Noah And The Whale, whose third album ‘Last Night On Earth’ debuted at Number Eight.

There was one new entry in the singles chart Top 10, as Wiz Khalifa‘s debut single ‘Black And Yellow’ went in at Number Five. The top four singles remained unchanged from last week (March 6).
