SIR ELTON JOHN hosted the last blast at the legendary sports stadium and rock venue LONDON WEMBLEY STADIUM last

night (November 2), at a glittering, star-studded farewell bash.

Holland and soprano Lesley Garrett, and among the

guests were Sir Bob Geldof, who masterminded the

Live Aid extravaganza in the 75-year-old stadium, plus

sporting legends including the 1966 England World Cup squad,

and Brazilian football hero Pele, who was given the honour of being the last person to kick a football beneath the famous “twin towers”,

despite never having had the chance to play there.
