Elton John is to collaborate with FLEA from Red Hot Chili Peppers, KRIST NOVOSELIC of NIRVANA and SOUNDGARDEN guitarist KIM THAYIL for his next album.
The spangly-spectacled Sir is to start recording the album this month in Los Angeles and has a second recording session lined up for February. He also has plans to release a live album, which will be recorded at two shows at Madison Square Garden in New York on October 20 and 21, which is expected to feature surprise special guest appearances by some of his new rock buddies, although the only name as yet confirmed, according to [url=]www.rollingstone.com, is Mary J. Blige.
