Duncan had been suffering from cerebrovascular disease
Duncan passed away on Friday (March 12) aged 66 after suffering from cerebrovascular disease.
As well as carving out her own career in the mid-’60s following a move from her native Stockton-On-Tees to London, Duncan performed vocals on Elton John‘s album ‘Madman Across The Water’, Pink Floyd‘s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ and Ringo Starr‘s ‘Goodnight Vienna’.
Duncan also worked with Dusty Springfield, while John recorded a version of her song ‘Love Song’ for his 1970 album ‘Tumbleweed Connection’, which she contributed vocals too (listen to it below).
The singer went on to release the albums ‘Everything Changes’ in 1974, ‘Moonbathing’ in 1975 and 1977’s ‘Maybe It’s Lost’.
