Elvis, Madonna, Jimi Hendrix clothes go up for auction

The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Rihanna items will also be sold

A host of music memorabilia is set to be sold in the Rock & Roll Pop Culture Auction.

The huge online sale includes the black leather boots worn by Elvis during the 1968 Comeback Special television show (starting bid $6000/£3882), as well as his custom made Nudie leather jacket ($3000/£1941).

A guitar strap used by Jimi Hendrix in 1968 at the Lincoln Center in New York is up for grabs ($3000/£1941) as are a selection of sequin halter bras made for Madonna for her Sex book (from $500/£323) as well as motorcycle jacket worn by the popstar ($2000/£1294).

Handwritten lyrics and poetry by Paul McCartney and John Lennon of The Beatles is also up for grabs, as is a fedora signed and worn by Michael Jackson ($2000/£1294), the costume worn by Rihanna in ‘The Only Girl In The World’ video ($2000/£1294) and a scarf worn by Stevie Nicks onstage ($100/£65).

The online auction will open on November 30 with the items going to the highest bidder when the sale closes on December 9.
