Dennis Linde dies after battling rare disease
A songwriter who penned one of Elvis Presley‘s final hits has died.
Dennis Linde, who wrote the track ‘Burning Love’, passed away after suffering with a rare lung disease. He was 63.
The track reached Number Seven in the UK charts in 1972, five years before Presley died.
In the past, Linde has penned songs for Garth Brooks and the Dixie Chicks, reports BBC News.
He was named songwriter of the year by US music rights organisation BMI in 1994 and he was elected to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2001.
