The band are to make a live recording of their cover of Bob Dorough’s ‘3 Is A Magic Number’ available, recorded at the Brixton Academy on the last night of their UK tour in November.

On the final night, Dorough joined the band on stage for an extended version of his song. The track will be available to download on Christmas morning and will be deleted from the band’s site on Boxing Day.

Speaking about the Brixton show, singer Danny McNamara told NME.COM: “This year has been our best yet as a group, some amazing things have happened to us. We’ve played gigs on beaches and in forests, we’ve played in quarries at 3 o’clock in the morning in front of 150 mates and we’ve played in front of 50,000 people on the main stage at Glastonbury. A personal highlight for me was doing ‘3 Is A Magic Number’ with Bob Dorough at Brixton – that really made my year”.

In addition, the also band plan to make a 60-minute documentary film of their fourth secret fanclub show from September on their website on Christmas Day. The film documents Embrace travelling through Somerset and Devon, before playing a show in a disused quarry near St Agnes in Cornwall.

Embrace will release their new album sometime in 2001.
