Frotnman Danny McNamara asks fans to "wear fancy dress and bring some sunflowers"...

DANNY McNAMARA has hinted EMBRACE‘s forthcoming ‘secret’ gig in LEEDS will be the band’s last this year.

As previously reported, ‘SG#9’ will to take place on September 22. The gig will be accessible by public transport, not dependent on the weather and open to fans of all ages.

Unlike the band’s previous ‘secret’ shows, where tickets have been won via the band’s website, fans were given the opportunity to purchase tickets for the show.

Now, speaking in his studio diary on the official Embrace website, www.embrace.co.uk, McNamara said the group’s tour plans mean that the show could be the group’s last “for a while”.

He wrote: “Just got back from the final planning of SG#9. All of us gathered round in a secret location planning the events. This one is going to be the big one. It’s also probably going to be the last one for a while as we are going to be on tour for the rest of the year. I’m not going to spoil the surprises we’ve got in store so I won’t say any more except that we would like you to wear fancy dress. There will be a golden ticket for the most imaginative costume, and bring some sunflowers.”

A new album, ‘If You’ve Never Been’, is released on September 3.
