EMBRACE are looking for a local band to support them on the CARDIFF date of their forthcoming UK tour.
The group are due to start their UK dates in support of current album ‘If You’ve Never Been’ at the end of this month at the Norwich UEA (October 30).
Writing in his diary on the official Embrace website, www.embrace.co.uk, vocalist Danny McNamara said that the group want a “local band” to support them at their show at Cardiff University (November 10).
He wrote: “Your band can be newly signed or totally unsigned, as long as you are based in Cardiff. It’s a big concert so it could be a real chance for your band. All you need to do is send us a demo with your three best songs along with a brief biography and photograph of your band to Embrace at: PO Box 7, Brighouse, HD6 4UR. You need to get the demos in as quickly as you can but no later than 26th of October, in order to give us time to sort things out.”

In other news, McNamara spoke about the group’s next single, a re-recorded version of ‘Make It Last’. McNamara said the new version has “a kind of rousing grace to it that I’m really proud of”, and features “really cool harp flourishes”.
Other tracks on the single, released on November 5, are likely to be ‘Giving Forgiving And Giving In’, ‘What You’ve Never Had You’ll Never Have’, ‘Fight Yer Corner’ and ‘It’s You I Make It For’.
Embrace are also planning to release a DVD containing footage of their now famous ‘secret’ gigs.
