Eminem bags $1 millon for animated Super Bowl ad

Rapper gets involved with some iced tea

Eminem is to be paid in excess of $1 million (£629,000) for appearing as an animated character in an advert for Lipton Brisk iced tea – set to be screened during the Super Bowl break.

The advert will provide a peek into a day in the life of a plasticine version of the rapper, reports the New York Post.

He isn’t the only musician getting involved in the sporting advert action – Justin Bieber, Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon will also be appearing in a commercial airing in a break in the event, for electronics shop Best Buy.

Pictures of Bieber dressed in a robotic space suit for the ad are online at Digitalnewsreport.com.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers game in Arlington, Texas on February 6 will see The Black Eyed Peas following in the footsteps of The Who, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney by performing during the half-time show.
