New streaming service Apple Music will launch on June 30
Zane Lowe has announced that Eminem will be the first guest on his new Apple Music radio station.
Apple announced their new streaming service at its developers’ conference in San Francisco earlier this month (June 8). The features of Apple Music will include on-demand streaming, 24/7 radio station Beats 1, and social networking that allows artists to connect with their fans. The service will launch on June 30.
Zane Lowe will host a show on the digital station, today taking to Instagram to reveal that the Detroit rapper will appear on the inaugural episode next week. Lowe wrote: “My first interview for #beats1 @eminem Next week on @applemusic”. See the post below.
Eminem recently unveiled a new song called ‘Phenomenal’, which is taken from the soundtrack to new boxing film Southpaw.
Eminem was originally set to star in the film when it was announced in December 2010, but later postponed the project and eventually dropped out entirely. He was replaced by Jake Gyllenhaal.
The song was produced by DJ Khalil. Eminem released his latest album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ in 2013.
