'The Eminem Show' is all conquering...

Eminem‘s ‘THE EMINEM SHOW’ has become the biggest album of the year in the US as it remains at top of the BILLBOARD album chart with total sales of over 2.4million.

In its second full week on sale the album has shifted 809,000 copies, considerably more than the 137,000 copies of ‘Totally Hits 2002’ that debuts at Number Two. Just behind the hits collection is second highest new entry of the week from Donnell Jones at three with 110,000 copies of ‘Life Goes On’ sold.

A little further down the chart comes a rare success for a British act. Dance group Dirty Vegas debut at Seven on the chart with their self-titled album. It has sold 64,000 copies in its first week, largely on the back of their track ‘Days Go By’, which has been used in a US TV commercial for a Mitsubishi car. Canadian teen Avril Lavigne enters at Eight with her debut ‘Let’s Go’.

Futher down the chart, DJ Shadow enters at 44 with second album ‘The Private Press’.
