Eminem has been the courts yet again in the US, this time as part of the ongoing defamation case brought against him by his own mother, DEBBIE MATHERS-BRIGGS.

Mathers-Briggs initially filed a suit at the Macomb County District Court in Michigan last September – seeking $10 million damages for defamation of character brought about by comments Eminem allegedly made about her in magazine interviews around the time of the release of his debut album ‘The Slim Shady LP’.

According to reports today (September 15) on the US website, [url=]www.mtv.com, Eminem was in the Macomb Circuit Court on Wednesday (September 13) for three hours to give a video deposition to be used in court at a later date, and to confirm some of the statements he is alleged to have made in the various US publications about his mother.

Mathers-Briggs was not at the hearing, but Eminem attended with his attorneys.

Speaking about the ongoing case, Mathers-Briggs‘ attorney is quoted in the Detroit News as saying: “He (Eminem) made it clear that he’d rather pay his attorneys $100,000 and make sure she (Mathers-Briggs) doesn’t get a dime.”
