EMINEM has topped the NME’s annual ‘SINGLES OF THE YEAR’ poll – even if it does look highly unlikely that MARSHALL MATHERS will now be celebrating a festive Number One in the UK.

Readers and writers of NME voted ‘The Real Slim Shady’ ahead of Coldplay’s ‘Yellow’, who were in second place with 155 votes to Eminem’s 199.
