Empire Of The Sun to soundtrack solar eclipse

Band to play over the internet tomorrow (July 22)

Empire Of The Sun are set to broadcast a stream of new music tomorrow afternoon (July 22) to soundtrack the longest solar eclipse so far of the 21st century.

The eclipse is set to take place tomorrow morning at 4am (BST), from when the broadcast – which will last for six minutes and 39 seconds, the maximum length of the eclipse – will begin.

The transmission will be available to hear at the band’s new website, eclipseofthesun.com, which goes live tomorrow morning.

The eclipse is set to be a total eclipse of the sun and is not predicted to be surpassed for length until the year 2132.
