ENRIQUE IGLESIAS is set to knock George Harrison from the top of the UK singles chart this coming Sunday (January 27), according to midweek sales figures.

Iglesias’ new single ‘Hero’ was yesterday (January 21) the best selling single in the UK, with A1‘s ‘Caught In The Middle’ the second highest new entry at Number Two. The pair are pushing the posthumous re-release of George Harrison‘s ‘My Sweet Lord’ down to Number Three.

Other new entries inside the Top Ten are likely to come from Britney Spears, who is currently at Number Five with ‘Overprotected’ and Ja Rule, who is at Number Six with ‘Always On Time’.

Other new entries of note come from Afroman, at Number 13 with ‘Crazy Rap’, Garbage at Number 15 with ‘Cherry Lips’ and NME cover stars Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, who are at Number 29 with ‘Love Burns’.
