The Vaccines, Kings of Leon and Laura Marling producer releases his debut solo album next year

Ethan Johns has announced plans for a full UK tour, following the release of his debut solo album, ‘If Not Now Then When?’.

The debut effort from The Vaccines, Kings of Leon and Laura Marling producer will be released on January 28, 2013 and supported by a 15 date tour, which starts on February 1 at Brighton Unitarian Church and winds up at London Purcell Rooms on February 25.

The album will feature guest spots from Marling as well as another of Johns’ longterm collaborators, Ryan Adams.

Johns issued a vinyl version of the LP earlier this month, and also toured a host of UK independent record stores.

The album was produced by Dom Monks, Jeremy Stacey and “whoever was in the room at the time!” and was mixed by Johns’ father, Glyn Johns, at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles.
