The first rafts of dance acts have been confirmed for this years’ Isle of Wight festival.
The festival, which will be headlined by The Killers, The Stone Roses and Bon Jovi, has confirmed that acts including Example, Benga, Ms Dynamite, Wiley, A-Trak Sub Focus and Lee Foss will appear across the weekend. Other names appearing between June 13-16 include Madeon, Jaguar Skills, Miguel Campbell, Derrick Carter, Andy C, Grandmaster Flash, Mosca, Huxley, MistaJam, Modestep, MK, Friction, Roses Gabor, Duke Dumont, MONSTA, Gorgon City, Waifs & Strays, Alexis Raphael and DJ EZ.
Earlier this week it was confirmed that The Boomtown Rats have reformed to perform at this year’s Isle Of Wight festival. Speaking about the reunion, Geldof said: “I’ve always fancied playing the Isle of Wight Festival ever since I hitched there in the good/bad days when I was a kid.”
Other acts already announced for the festival, which will take place at Seaclose Park between June 13-16 include Paul Weller, The Maccabees, Jake Bugg, Bloc Party, Palma Violets, Paloma Faith, Ellie Goulding, Blondie, I Am Kloot, Kodaline and Willy Mason.
