The dance popster heads for Earth's upper orbit next month in her attempt to be the first star to spin discs in weightless conditions...
FAITHLESS‘ SISTER BLISS is aiming to be the first star to DJ in weightless conditions in outer space.
She will take to Earth’s upper orbit onboard a Russian military jet on July 9 after some basic training at Moscow’s cosmonaut centre, Star City. The Faithless keyboard player will spend an hour onboard the Ilyushin 76 jet. To achieve weightlessness, the jet will fire into orbit at a 45 degree angle, before working through a series of moves to hit periods of zero gravity.
Joining Sister Bliss will be a dozen clubbers hand picked from the thousands gathered at a series of Lynx Zero Gravity events around Europe. The last of these events will be held at a secret location in London on July 6 where Ian Brown, Fun Lovin’ Criminals and Armand Van Helden will headline.
On the night, 2,000 competition winners will assemble in central London and be bussed to the unknown location. Two punters will be picked to join the space mission.
